Role Description:
The Sr. Staff Accountant position is responsible for financial account analysis, month-end closing, research and reconciliation of material financial statement accounts, and recording monthly journal entries into the general ledger system with emphasis in use of Oracle R12 applications. This role will ensure adequate internal controls, policies, and procedures are in place to ensure compliance.  The position will require constant collaboration with team members and management with different departments throughout the Organization and will report to the VP, Finance & Corporate Controller.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
  • Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
  • Quarterly balance sheet and P & L Fluctuation Analysis
  • Monthly expense variance analysis
  • Consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting
  • Manage Fixed Assets
  • Balance sheet accounts reconciliations
  • Prepare and input journal entries
  • Prepare audit work papers
  • Property, sales and use tax and franchise tax returns
  • Interface with management in various departments, including engineering, sales operations, IT and legal.
  • Assist and support in special projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA is a plus.
  • Strong technical accounting background.
  • At least three - five years general ledger accounting experience is required
  • Strong Excel and database skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Team player and have ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization
  • Oracle R12 financial application, OneStream, and manufacturing experience preferred.
