The company operates two glass manufacturing plants in the U.S. and sources a variety of propriety designed tableware products.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work closely and cross-functionally with Design, New Product Development, Sales, and Purchasing in a team environment to ensure designs clearly communicate the design intent, satisfying customer, consumer and brand integrity.
  • Participate in new product development activities with the purpose of generating innovative concepts and solutions.
  • Determine appropriate approaches to concept development and execute design research, product concept drawings, and product presentations.
  • Communicate all Industrial Design specifications and maintain brand integrity throughout the development process.
  • Maintain awareness of consumer trends and competitor product design trends.
  • Develop and maintain familiarity with materials and processes used in the industry.
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure designs are manufacturable.
  • Create and maintain detailed manufacturing technical specification drawings and solid part files using SolidWorks
  • Specify and approve design’s form and visual acceptance standards for manufacturing.
  • Manage engagements with external design and development firms.
  • Work with Asia vendors and manufacturing partners to define, specify and confirm color, material & finish.
  • Light travel may be required.


  • Must have 5+ years of experience in all phases of the industrial design process with the ability to demonstrate superior creative, aesthetic, and form development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must including the ability to function in a fast-paced, interactive cross-functional team environment.
  • Willing to take on multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously while upholding project timelines.
  • Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing, materials & processes in the housewares industry.
  • Knowledge of glass & plastics manufacturing is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in SolidWorks.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of prototyping methods.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
